10 Essential Pieces for String Orchestra

Stephanie has made a number of arrangements for string orchestra and for solo violin with string orchestra. Her arrangement of Manuel de Falla's "Siete Canciones Populares Espagnolas" was selected by Endellion Quartet first violinist Andrew Watkinson as one of 10 essential pieces for string orchestra. The Stephanie Chase Conversations: Connecting Through Classical Music in Vietnam

Newport Music Festival!

Stephanie made her debut in July at the acclaimed Newport Music Festival in Rhode Island - performing on five concerts in four days - and was immediately re-engaged for the 2018 season.  Stay tuned for details and plan to hear her play great music in magnificent mansions that include "The Breakers."

Stephanie Gives a Master Class at The Juilliard School

On June 1, 2017, Stephanie gave a master class at The Juilliard School for the Starling-Delay Symposium, which is held every two years. She heard talented young artists in concerti by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Mendelssohn as well as Bach's Sonata in A minor.

Stephanie is also a music arranger whose work has been performed by the Perlman Music Program, the American String Project, the Boston Classical Orchestra, and Joshua Bell, who played her arrangement for violin and string orchestra of the Habanera movement from Bizet-Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy" on a special program featuring music from Cuba and broadcast on PBS.

Stephanie plays her own arrangements of Sarasate with the Boston Classical Orchestra

Stephanie was a featured guest of the Boston Classical Orchestra at Boston's historic Faneuil Hall and played her own arrangements, for solo violin and string orchestra, of virtuoso music by Sarasate, in addition to the Autumn and Winter movements from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.  Her performance, conducted by Steven Lipsitt, was met by multiple standing ovations.  The orchestra also gave the world premiere of her arrangement of Bach's Fugue from the Sonata in G minor for violin solo.

Stephanie gave the premiere of her arrangement, for solo violin and string orchestra, of Pablo de Sarasate's version of Bizet's Carmen.  Barbara Day Turner conducted, and the program also included Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins.

With Richard Savino, Stephanie has recorded several virtuoso works for violin and guitar by Mauro Giuliani, which was released on the eOne label (Koch Entertainment) on September 18, 2015 to critical acclaim.

In late August, Stephanie was a featured guest artist at two music festivals in the beautiful Val d'Orcia region of Italy, performing works for violin, clarinet and piano with pianist Todd Crow.
